Okay, so today I decided to mess around with She-Hulk in Marvel Snap. Been seeing her around, figured I’d give it a proper go myself.

Getting Started – The Idea
The whole point, right, is saving energy so She-Hulk costs less. Simple enough. So, I started throwing a deck together. Obviously, She-Hulk was the first card in. Then I thought, who likes saved energy? Sunspot, naturally. Gotta have him soak up that unspent energy. I also considered maybe Magik, you know, for that extra turn seven play, giving more time to float energy and drop big stuff.
Early Turns – Setting Up
So, jumping into some games, my first few turns were usually pretty quiet. If I drew Sunspot early, I’d slap him down on turn one. Good start. If not, turns one and two might just be… nothing. Skipping felt weird at first, but I kept reminding myself, “It’s for She-Hulk, it’s for She-Hulk.” Sometimes I’d drop an Armor maybe, to protect my Sunspot later, or maybe another cheap card if I had one that fit.
Mid-Game – Floating Energy
Around turns three, four, five, that’s when the real plan started. If I had Magik and felt like I needed the extra turn, I’d play her on turn three usually, changing a location to Limbo. Otherwise, I’d just focus on floating energy. Maybe I’d play a card, maybe not. Turn five became the big ‘thinking’ turn. If I wanted to play Infinaut (which I sometimes slotted in), I’d have to skip turn five completely. If not, I’d just play something small or nothing at all, making sure I had leftover energy. The goal was always to have at least a few energy points saved up heading into the final turn.
The Final Turn – Payoff Time!
Okay, turn six (or seven if Magik was out). This is where the fun happened, usually. Because I saved energy on the previous turn, She-Hulk’s cost dropped. Sometimes she’d cost only 1 or 2 energy! It felt pretty good dropping her down for cheap. Then, I’d use the rest of my energy to play another big card. If I skipped turn five, maybe I could drop Infinaut AND a cheap She-Hulk. That’s a massive power swing outta nowhere! Caught quite a few people off guard with that move.
- Played Sunspot early if possible.
- Considered Magik for turn 7.
- Skipped turns or played minimally mid-game to save energy.
- Dropped cheap She-Hulk + another big card on the final turn.
Observations and Tweaks
It wasn’t always smooth sailing, though. Sometimes I just didn’t draw She-Hulk, which kinda ruins the whole plan, haha. Or I wouldn’t draw Sunspot early, so the saved energy felt a bit wasted. And man, Shang-Chi is the absolute worst for this deck. Seeing my big Infinaut or even She-Hulk get zapped on the last turn was painful. Sometimes opponents filled up locations too fast, leaving me nowhere to drop my big combo. I found myself tweaking the support cards a bit, trying different things to protect my big guys or control the locations better. Still figuring out the perfect mix.
Overall, it was a pretty fun experience today. The deck feels powerful when it works, and that big final turn drop is super satisfying. Definitely needs some luck with the card draw, but hey, that’s card games for ya. I’ll probably keep running it for a bit, see if I can refine it more.
