Okay, so I saw this crossword clue today – “dash to the end zone” – and it got me thinking. It’s short, only four letters. I’ve been doing a lot of crosswords lately, trying to get better, you know? Keep the brain sharp. So, I started like I always do, running through possibilities in my head.
First, I thought about actual football terms. Could it be a type of run? A “rush”? Nope, too long. Then I considered words related to speed. A “bolt”? Still no. I even tried thinking of player positions, just in case. Nothing.
Then it hit me. I should stop getting all in my head, and approach from the side. What is another word means dash?

I am so confident with “Dart”, So I just fill it in the answer and test whether it is ok with other words.
My Little “Aha!” Moment
I grabbed my phone and look into the crossword, BINGO! It worked! Just four letters, “D-A-R-T”. Sometimes, you just gotta keep plugging away, even when you feel stuck. That’s my little crossword victory for the day. Now, onto the next clue…
