Okay, so I stumbled upon this weird little game, “Somewhat Pointless Crossword,” and figured, why not give it a shot? I mean, who doesn’t love a good crossword, even if it claims to be pointless?
First thing I did was, obviously, find the game. I just searched for it, It loaded up pretty quick, which is always a plus. No waiting around forever for things to happen.
Then, I started a new game. It threw a grid at me, mostly empty, with just a few letters scattered around. Kinda like a regular crossword, but… emptier. The clues were, well, let’s just say they weren’t exactly your typical crossword clues.
My Solving Strategy (or Lack Thereof)
- I started with the short words. You know, the three and four-letter ones. Figured those would be the easiest to guess, even with the wacky clues.
- Then it is Look for intersecting letters. If I could get one word filled in, it would give me a starting point for the words that crossed it. Classic crossword tactics, right?
- Guess, guess, guess!,This is the ‘somewhat pointless’ part. There is a lot of random, and I do not know the correct answer.
I just typed in whatever came to mind, no shame.
So, I kept at it, filling in a word here, a word there. Sometimes I’d get on a roll and fill in a whole bunch, other times I’d be completely stuck. I have to admit, that guessing part was pretty fun, in a silly sort of way.
Finally, after a good chunk of time (don’t ask me how long, I lost track), I managed to fill in the whole grid! Did it make any sense? Not really. Was it satisfying? Surprisingly, yes! It’s like, I conquered the pointless, and that’s something, right?
It is not a game, I will play all,but It was a fun, and I am glad to try.
