Well, I heard some folks talking ’bout this thing, “crossword clue”, “i don’t believe it crossword clue” or somethin’ like that. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me. But, my grandkids, they’re always on them internet things, say it’s a real popular game. They say lots of people do these crossword puzzles, even newspapers have them. It’s all about finding words, they tell me.
So, this “I don’t believe it” thing, it’s like a secret message, a “clue” they call it. You gotta figure out the word that fits. They say there are many possible answers, 30, 41, even more! That’s a lot of words, Lord have mercy! I can barely remember what I had for breakfast, let alone 41 words.
Now, my grandkids, bless their hearts, they showed me this thing called a “crossword solver”. It’s like a magic box online where you can find the answers for “i don’t believe it crossword clue”. Just type in what you know, and it spits out words. They even showed me some popular crossword puzzles, like the “NY Times” one, the “Daily Celebrity”, and the “Telegraph”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? This crossword solver thingy, it can find words that are 3 letters long, or 9 letters long, and everythin’ in between.
I seen ’em use it. They typed in “Don’t believe it!” just like that. They said it was in some puzzle called “Universal”. And that solver thing, it found all sorts of words. It is amazing, I guess.

They say these crosswords are supposed to be fun. And learnin’ new things is part of the fun. They told me, “Grandma, there’s no such thing as cheatin’ at crosswords!” Can you believe that? Back in my day, lookin’ up answers was definitely cheatin’. But these young’uns, they have different ideas.
“I don’t believe it!” That’s what I said when they first told me about it. And that’s what folks say when they’re stumped on a crossword, I reckon. But there it is, right there on the screen. All these different answers. They say there are even more places to find clues for “I don’t believe it”. Apparently, the New York Times, whatever that is, has a lot of them. Some game called “Word Craze” too. Sounds crazy to me!
They even showed me a page, a whole page, just for “I don’t believe it” crossword clue answers. Can you imagine? A whole page dedicated to that! They say it’s to find the latest clues. These young people and their internet. They have an answer for everything, don’t they?
Now, I still don’t rightly understand it all. But, I guess if it makes ’em happy, that’s all that matters. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll give it a try. Might be fun to learn somethin’ new, even at my age. But for now, I’ll stick to my garden. At least the weeds don’t talk back with no secret codes or “clues”.
I still think the whole thing is a bit silly. But these young folks, they seem to love it. “I don’t believe it!” I say to them. And they just laugh. Maybe they’re right. Maybe it’s not cheatin’. Maybe it’s just learnin’. Still, a whole page just for “I don’t believe it” crossword clue? That’s somethin’ else, ain’t it?
It’s all a mystery to me. But, hey, who am I to judge? If they wanna spend their time figurin’ out these word puzzles, that’s their business. Maybe one day, I will figure it all out too. Maybe. Or maybe not, we will see. One thing I know, I have vegetables to pick. This “I don’t believe it” crossword clue will need to wait.
