Okay, so yesterday I was messing around trying to figure out who exactly are the football coaches over at Notre Dame. You know, just a bit of curiosity getting the best of me.
First thing I did? Hit up Google, obviously. Typed in “notre dame football coaches”. Pretty straightforward stuff. Got a bunch of links, mostly to the official Notre Dame athletics site. Clicked on that.
The website was actually pretty well organized, which was a nice surprise. Found a section for “Football”, then “Staff Directory”. Boom. Clicked on that and got a list of everyone involved with the team – coaches, trainers, support staff, the whole shebang.
I was mainly interested in the coaching staff, so I started scrolling. They had the head coach right at the top, then all the assistant coaches listed below. Each coach had a little bio, some pictures, their previous experience, all that jazz.
Read through a few of the bios, you know, just getting a feel for their backgrounds. Seems like a lot of these guys have been around the block a few times, coaching at different colleges and universities. Some even had NFL experience, which is pretty cool.
I wanted to get a better sense of their roles, so I started digging a little deeper. Checked out some articles and interviews with the coaches. That’s where I started getting a clearer picture of who’s responsible for what – offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, special teams, all that stuff.
Then, because I’m a bit of a nerd, I started comparing this year’s coaching staff to previous years. Found some old articles and websites, pieced together how the staff has changed over time. Noticed some coaches had left, some new ones had come in. Interesting to see how the team’s strategy might be evolving because of these changes.
Finally, just to round things out, I watched a few game highlights and looked for the coaches on the sidelines. You know, trying to put a face to the name and see them in action. Plus, it’s always fun to watch some football!
So, yeah, that’s pretty much how I spent an afternoon figuring out the Notre Dame football coaches. Nothing too crazy, just a little bit of online sleuthing. Learned a thing or two, and got to watch some football in the process. Not a bad way to spend the day!
