I remember the day I decided to dive into the world of Bobby Hurley. Not the kind of diving he probably did, but you know, the deep dive of research and learning. Then, I dug a bit deeper and learned he was a coach at St. Anthony’s High School. Now, here’s a fun fact – he won 26 state championships in 39 years! That’s just insane. You know I love a good success story, and this was definitely one of them.
Then, I kind of went down a rabbit hole reading about NCAA Tournament projections. That’s a whole different world, and honestly, it’s a bit confusing. But it’s clear that Bobby Hurley’s name comes up a lot in those discussions.
But here’s where it got really interesting. I found out about this accident he had back in ’93. He was just starting out in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, and he got into a really bad car crash. It was so serious that it was life-threatening. I can’t even imagine going through something like that, especially when you’re just starting your career.
