Okay, so I wanted to get a clear picture of the NC State football team’s lineup for 2023. You know, who’s playing where, who are the starters, backups, the whole deal. I figured a depth chart would be the perfect way to visualize it all.

Finding the Information
First, I started searching around. I tried a few different phrases to find official stuff. It took some digging!
I looked through the results, and I found some useful pages. I started taking notes on the key players mentioned in different positions.
Compiling My Notes
So, I had all these names and positions scattered across different web pages. It was kinda messy. My next step was to put it all together in one place. I opened up a simple text document and started listing out the positions:
- Quarterback
- Running Back
- Wide Receiver
- Tight End
- Offensive Line (Left Tackle, Left Guard, Center, Right Guard, Right Tackle)
- Defensive Line (Defensive End, Defensive Tackle)
- Linebacker
- Cornerback
- Safety
- Special Teams (Kicker, Punter, Returners)
Then, I went back to my notes from websites, and start filling in the names under each position. For example, under Quarterback, I wrote down the names that were mentioned most.
Organizing the Depth Chart
After I listed players under their roles, I tried to figure out who the likely starters were. This took a bit more reading and comparing information from different sources. I looked for things like “projected starter” or mentions of a player’s performance in the previous season.
I started putting names in order, with the most likely starter at the top, followed by potential *’s all about getting a sense of who’s likely to be on the field first.
Review and Updates
I have my own depth chart that makes sense to me, but it’s not perfect. I realized that things change, players get injured, coaches make different decisions. So, I have to keep my list updated.
That is my whole procedure, to keep an eye on reliable football news sites and social media for any * is just a snapshot, and it will be updated as I learn more.
