Alright, so I wanted to get all the achievements in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. I noticed there’s this one achievement related to Kaname, a hostess in the game. Turns out, to max out her bond, I needed to answer some questions correctly during our chats. So, I dove in, ready to woo this virtual lady!

First Steps: Meeting Kaname
First things first, I had to find Kaname. She’s at the Castle, which is like this fancy area you unlock later in the game. Once I got there, I found the Cabaret Club and, boom, there she was. Beautiful, charming, the whole nine yards. I started by ordering drinks and just generally hanging out with her, getting to know her a little bit.
Getting to the Questions
After a few visits, and after spending a good chunk of change, Kaname started opening up. She would initiate these conversations with multiple-choice answers. Man, I was sweating! I didn’t want to mess this up. So, I made sure I saved before each interaction, you know, just in case I picked the wrong answer. Safety first!
- I started chatting with her at the Cabaret Club.
- I ordered a bunch of drinks, which, by the way, were not cheap.
- After a while, she started asking me questions.
The Dreaded Question Rounds
The questions weren’t always easy. Some were about her preferences, others were more about… well, I don’t even remember all of them. It was a mix of trying to understand her personality and, honestly, some pure guesswork. My save-scumming strategy was to reload if I bombed an answer. My main tactic was to select answers I thought I would personally pick if Kaname asked me that in person. Not gonna lie, I felt a little pressure!
Success! (And a Maxed-Out Bond)
After a few tries, and some careful selection of the answers, I finally nailed all the questions. Each correct answer boosted our bond, and I could see the progress. The “correct” answer was obvious when the hearts appeared, but if they didn’t then I would reload. The final chat ended with a satisfying confirmation that our bond was maxed out. I felt like a dating sim champion! And, of course, I unlocked that sweet, sweet achievement.
Wrapping Up
So yeah, that’s how I tackled the Kaname questions in Like a Dragon Gaiden. It took some time, some in-game money, and, my failsafe of save-loading to finally get it right. It was a fun little challenge, and it added a nice layer of interaction to the game. I’m all for being the best friend of a virtual hostess.
