Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get into crossword puzzles lately, you know, to keep my brain sharp. But I stumbled upon this one clue today, “pitching statistic,” and I was completely stumped. I’m not a huge baseball fan, so I’m not really familiar with all the terms. It’s frustrating when you’re just starting out with something, and you hit a roadblock like this.
I decided to hit up the internet and see if I could find any help. I just searched for something like “pitching statistic crossword clue.” It felt a little silly, like I was cheating, but I really wanted to figure this one out. I figured there had to be some websites out there dedicated to helping people with crossword puzzles.
I came across a few different websites that listed possible answers. Some of them had tons of answers, like maybe 30 or even 40 different possibilities. I guess that’s helpful, but it also felt a bit overwhelming. There was one site in particular, it just had one possible answer. That was a bit of a relief, but also, it made me wonder if it was right. I guess when there’s that many options, it’s hard to feel confident.
- First, I tried to figure it out myself, but no luck.
- Then, I searched online for the clue.
- I looked at different websites with possible answers.
- I saw some with lots of answers, and one with only one.
Here’s what I did:
I ended up looking at a few more sites, just to be sure. They all seemed to agree on the same answer. So, I finally filled it in on my crossword. It felt good to finally solve that clue, even if I had to look it up. I guess that’s part of the learning process, right? You can’t know everything right away. And hey, maybe next time I see a baseball clue, I’ll actually know the answer without having to search for it. That would be a win in my book.
Anyways, it’s just a little story from my day. It’s funny how these little things, like a crossword clue, can be such a challenge sometimes. But it’s also satisfying to overcome them, even if it’s in a small way. I’m hoping to get better at these puzzles, and maybe one day, I won’t have to look up any answers at all. But for now, I’m just taking it one clue at a time.
